Home Builders Care

Our Mission

Founded in 2007, Home Builders Care of Rutherford County (HBC) is the charitable arm of HBACT, dedicated to supporting education and career growth in the homebuilding industry. For over two decades, HBC has worked to enrich Rutherford County by supporting the next generation of builders, strengthening community connections, and showcasing rewarding career opportunities within the industry.
Our Current Contributions and Initiatives

Providing Scholarships

We grant $1,000 scholarships to students pursuing degrees in MTSU's Construction Management program and other local construction fields through the association matching program.

Promoting Building Trades

We partner with schools and organizations, like the John Floyd Foundation, to support practical learning initiatives such as Oakland High School's 3,600-square-foot masonry course.

Encouraging Mentorship & Participation

We encourage HBACT members to get involved by mentoring students or assisting with the chapter's Marathon competition.

Developing Workforce Skills

We want our key focus to be on the Labor shortage in the homebuilding industry. As part of this initiative, HBC is actively participating in local career fairs to promote trades as a viable alternative to traditional college education.
